By Train
National Express operates the East-coast train line linking Aberdeen, Edinburgh and London. Virgin trains connect Scotland, the North-East and the South-West of England, both with regular trains stopping at Berwick. Train travel time from Edinburgh or Newcastle to Berwick is a swift 45 minutes and from London only 3hrs 30 minutes.

By Road
Berwick lies immediately off the A1, half way between Newcastle and Edinburgh. It takes around 1 hour to drive from either city.

By Air
Newcastle and Edinburgh Airports are well-served by many airlines including low-budget. Train form either of these cities is swift (see above).

Within Northumberland
There are regular buses running through the town but Berwick is small enough to walk around. Regional bus networks serve Berwick well with routes to; Wooler, Alnwick, Kelso, Galashiels, Eyemouth and Dunbar. Berwick is also served by Sustrans cycle route 1. www.sustrans.org.uk/.
