Carpet for youngsters at the Chris Anderson Award
The Final day of the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival saw young people from both sides of the border gather at The Maltings Arts Centre for the red carpet treatment to see their films premiered on the big screen. During this BAFTA styled event talented youngsters received certificates and introduced their shortlisted films, following which films were screened and final announcement was made for the winner of the Chris Anderson Award.

My Grandmother – Silent Cinema with a difference
Monday saw the exhilarating and truly unique screening of European Premiere “My Grandmother” with live soundtrack by the San Francisco based Beth Custer Ensemble.

Festival Launch is a big success
Berwickers flocked to Berwick Old Bridge on Friday for a spot of ‘people watching’ with a difference. Delighted spectators gasped in awe at the giant film screen measuring 50 feet, suspended from the centre arch of the Royal Tweed Bridge, where massive portraits of over 100 of Berwick’s young people merged into one another at varying speeds to great effect.

Shoot for Success this Summer!
If you are under 18, like film, can use a camera and have a story to tell, then Berwick Film and Media Festival have come up with the perfect summer challenge - make a film.
Local students help out with festival preparations
