We are over the moon after this morning’s announcement that our bid to the Arts Council for funding over three years, 2012 – 2015, has been successful.

The Festival has had the support of Arts Council England through the Grants for the Arts fund in the past, but is announced today as one of only 110 newcomers to the portfolio funding scheme nationally, and one of only 10 in the region. The company will receive £150,000 over the three-year period.

Co-founder and Chair Huw Davies said “We’re delighted to have received such good news this morning. It really is a testament to six years of support from international artists, from our audiences across the UK, our regional stakeholders and local volunteers.”

Melanie Iredale, Festival Director added “This money will allow us to deliver a major festival every year as well as to produce events year-round, to focus more on new commissions and to increase opportunities for young people to engage with moving image art. We’re really grateful that the Arts Council are as excited as we are by the ambitions of the Festival and the plans for the work ahead of us.”
