Chris Anderson Award Films Selected

We are very pleased to announce the final selection of films for the prestigious Chris Anderson Award for best Young Filmmaker!
The festival received the most amount of submissions in it's history this year which made the selection process incredibly difficult. Every film submitted showed great enthusiasm, passion, dedication and love for making films. Unfortunetly we are not able to screen every film (although we would love to!) and so now you can find the final competition films here
We are also now able to announce the professional jury which have the very difficult task of selecting the winning film and awarding the £200 prize money to the filmmakers. The winning film will also be screened at the Leeds Young People's Film Festival during Easter 2012.
Chris Anderson Award Professional Jury 2011:
Tina Gharavi, North East based filmmaker and screenwriter, and director of our opening film I Am Nasrine.
Tamara Van Strijthem, project manager at Screen Academy Scotland and 8 ½ Foundation, and a Board Member of Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival
Will Sadler, managing director of North East based film production company Arpeggio Films, and manager of the Beacon Hill Film Project who won the Chris Anderson Award last year
For a chance to see the work of future filmmakers don't miss the Chris Anderson Award on Saturday 24th September 2.30pm at the Maltings Theatre & Cinema.
