Remember 'Magma' from the 2010 Fest? And 'Mare' which was shot in Berwick, and commissioned by Northumberland County Council in partnership with the Maltings and the 2011 Festival? Well they're both screening at Papay Gyro Nights festival in Orkney. Go Rammatik! http://www.papaygyronights.papawestray.org/html/gyro2012/artists/Rammatik.html

Young Advocate

In September 2010, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival worked with Changemakers, a foundation set up to influence, inspire and develop organisations to work with young people. Through Changemakers Young Cultural Leadership programme, the festival recruited Joel Baker, a young filmmaker, who documented the festival, along with other young filmmakers Felicity aged 14 and Jake aged 13.

March 2011 marked the end of the project, with Young Cultural Leaders and the oranisations involved travelling to London to catch up, share their experiences and celebrate their achievements.

The video, designed to capture the 2010 Festival and to promote future festivals, shows just how much there is for children, young people and their families to do at Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival. To see the video, click here.
